How to Store Burrata
Burrata is undoubtedly delicious and a real treat. As such, you would be forgiven for looking for ways to extend its use-by date. The only way to store fresh burrata is in its store packaging up to its best-by date.
It’s best enjoyed when it’s super fresh, so try and eat your burrata on the day you buy it.
However, if you know you won’t use it all at once, transfer the liquid to an airtight container along with the cheese and seal. You can keep it in the fridge for 1-2 days at most.
As soon as you cut into your burrata, you should use it all at once to get the most out of its flavour and texture.

As you’re probably aware by now, burrata doesn’t freeze well at all. In fact, due to its soft texture and complex yet delightful flavours, burrata really needs to be enjoyed immediately to get the most out of it.
At best, you can keep it in the fridge for 2 days, but it will begin going bad straight out of the gate.
As a general rule, soft cheeses like burrata don’t freeze well, while hard cheeses like cheddar do. If you’re lucky enough to have a ball of burrata, eat it straight away to enjoy the creamy and rich cheese as it should be enjoyed.

Can You Freeze Mozzarella?
If you’re determined to freeze a creamy, soft cheese then opt for mozzarella because, yes, you can freeze mozzarella with a lot more success. Drain from its brine then store in good-quality freeze bags. Freeze each mozzarella individually to avoid them clumping together.
