This is one of the safest ways to freeze it as it’s frozen airtight in containers that aren’t going to get squashed and lost in the freezer:

    Whether you are buying your cashew butter or making it at home, this method will work for either. 
  2. Prepare Containers
    Make sure you have enough containers that are airtight with lids that seal well. 
  3. Portion Out
    Spoon your cashew butter into each of the containers, being sure to leave a little gap so that the butter has room to expand as it freezes. 
  4. Label and Freeze
    Label the container with the date of freezing, the food product and potentially its use-by date. Then slide the container into the freezer and keep it for between 4 and 6 months.

  1. Spoon Into Ice Cube Trays
    If you are only going to use cashew butter in small portions, this is the best option. Spoon even amounts into each space and tap to level it out. 
  2. Freeze
    Slide the ice cube tray into the freezer and leave it for a few hours to freeze. 
  3. Bag
    Once frozen, remove the cubes from the tray and place them into a ziplock bag. Squeeze the air out and seal tightly. 
  4. Refreeze
    You can then place the bag back into the freezer and you will have perfectly individual portions of cashew butter.
